About the Program
The Hospitality Management program is offered as a Bachelor of Science Degree at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB). It is designed to prepare students with the necessary background and expertise for the entry level management positions in this exciting and growing field. The program provides the fundamentals to excel as mangers and leaders in the various niches of the hospitality industry. The curriculum offers both academic and professional course and includes hands-on practical experience. The program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration (ACHPA). There are currently about 300 students in the program.
The Hospitality Management program is housed in the Family and Consumer Science Building, featuring foodservice labs/kitchens, state-of-the-art computer facilities, banquet and meeting rooms. Students enjoy the option to participate in various extracurricular activities, study abroad, plus have many opportunities for work experience and job placement in the surrounding geographical area. CSULB has a chapter of Eta Sigma Delta, the international honor society for students in the Hospitality management.
